The Impeach Police suspect arrested a couple, Ifeanyi Anyanwu and Amarachi Ugorji, for stealing and selling a two-year-old boy Ikechukwu Nwachukwu for N500,000.

Enwerem said,

"On August 28, 2017, Ifeanyi Anyanwu, 23, and Amarachi Ugorji, 18, joined and kidnapped Ikechukwu Nwachukwu, two years and six months, from their parents in Umuozu-Uguiri to LGA Isiala Mbano.
"Two suspects have begun to ask the child's parents for the ransom after the kidnapping, and when the parents of the kidnapped child can not afford the money, they decided to sell the child for the child. "Both customers were arrested in Aba after a thorough investigation, while the child was saved unharmed and have since met with a legitimate family on orders.
