The following statements by attorney Ikoy Whistleblower that were not paid after sharing information that led to the discovery of 13 billion euros, Finance Minister Nigeria Kemi Adeosun said the whistleblower would be paid this month.

The statement issued on her behalf by her special advisor, media and communications, Mr Oluyinka Akintunde, reads in part:

"The attention of the Honorable Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, was named in the media surrounding the whistle-blowing, which gave advice that led to the recovery of hidden assets in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The minister is eager to declare unambiguously that the federal government does not deny money from whistleblowers.
The Ministry has established detailed payment processing procedures that are given in accordance with the Cancellation Policy.
Procedures are designed to prevent legal abuse and conflict and protect information providers.
These procedures include a request from an agency that funds recovered, including evidence recovery, that there is no legal issue, identity verification of the information provider, counting the amount being paid and the calculation of the corresponding taxes.
It should also be noted that payments are made in monthly parcels to ensure control and protect the identity of the information provider.
To date, more than 20 of these people have been paid. Records available, payment due to Ikoyi is among the processed many in November, to be released in the current month. "
